Welcome to another edition of The Friday Five, where I share 5 interesting reads I discovered during the week.
THIS ONLINE THING [OR WHY I AM STILL HERE, WITH YOU] at Stuff Antonia Says {about staying in even with all the beautiful opposites} I love the way she speaks of pixelated pews.
Tell Me a Story at Emily Is Speaking Up { a refreshingly honest dialogue about having all the right answers but failing to believe them} One of my favorite quotes from her article is below:
None of us have life or theology or practical faith under our control. When we tell our honest stories, it celebrates that we’re in this process with each other instead of trying to be the best. I may not get your conclusion, but I can get you. When you tell me your stories, when you listen to mine, when we do this well, it is better than any formula. It is life. – See more at: http://www.emilyisspeakingup.com/blog/2013/3/2/tell-me-a-story#sthash.Nzh7Bjjq.dpuf
I Am the 47% by Suzannah at the Smitten Word {the author shares her story of going through a lean time financially and how she discovered government cheese isn’t so bad }
And when the rule book dies, so she must live at Hannah Brencher {about the joy that can be found when we release ourselves from following the rules} In her post you asks some interesting questions
I wonder what we are so afraid of when we construct these rules for our diets, and our dress codes, and our schedules. I wonder what we are really petrified will happen if there be a little less boundaries and more breathing room. Would we spiral out of control? –Hannah Brencher
An Invitation to the Table at Elora Nicole {about being brave enough to share our stories} I found this to be a very rich post wonderful quotes I wanted to sit and savor awhile.
Unless we are brave enough to become vulnerable, we commit others to the same fate. The self-preservation that once helped us cope, now only breeds death. Once, your voice was stolen. But now you are silencing voices–sealing others in a similar tomb. We are broken people. We are hurtful and hurting. We are messy and beautiful. A paradox existing in one skin.- Sarah Drinka
and another one
The more I looked around, the more I realized we were a movement of walking wounded, invisible to those around us because we spend our lives invisible to the darkest parts of our story. We walk around half alive, attempting to avoid attention because attention is what got us hurt in the first place. – Elora
That’s my finds for this Friday. Now tell me about your interesting finds this week.

I am finding these quotes very encouraging, Wanda. I’ll be reading through those articles today. For me, it is one word that has been constantly on my mind: GRACE. When we can’t see our way, when we think all is lost, when we feel like the seeds we have planted were for nothing, let us remeember >>> God has been making it grow. – 1 Corinthians 3:6. Let us live in grace.
Wanda says
Hmmm, grace 5-letters but a word full of rich meaning. I don’t think I fully grasp all it’s richness.
