Some days I stumble across a good read and I can’t even remember how I ended up on the page. You see I’m a serial tab opener and at any given moment I have about 10 or more tabs opened in my browser. And this week I have managed to come across some reads that speaks to the heart. This weeks Friday Five recommended reads include:
I found Lisha’s The New Blog Bling: Am I Pimping My Posts? via tweet from Alisa and I’m so glad I followed the link over. In it she examines the trend of linkups and when is too much. My favorite lines from her posts were:
God differentiates between holy and common. We should carefully seek communities for our words. Be intentional about finding homes for these heart to pen poured ministries. Pray about any relationships we hope to form. Give ear to directions based on the communities He leads us to. Steward the gift. – Lisha Epperson
What an encouraging testimony Betty shared in The Friday Five link-up last week in per post titled My Favorite Post/Second Time Wife. She shares a modern-day story of her prodigal son. Jared shares his testimony in his own words…
Three years ago I made the decision to divorce my wife (Grace) of almost 5 years. We had two small children but I still thought the best decision was to walk away and not honor the commitment I made to her! –Jared
Have you checked your pulse lately? Pam shares how she was prompted by God to stop and check her pulse recently and the great little spiritual lesson she gleaned from the exercise in Find Your Pulse.
There are times we surprise even ourselves with the little thoughts that come across our minds but Emily reminds us that within ourselves lies the propensity to do bad things.
I want to learn to keep company with my weakness even as I practice walking in the New Way of Christ. – Emily Freeman, When Your Soul Has a Bad Idea
And for those moments when you feel as if you just can’t write read Barry’s If You Think Can’t Write You’re Wrong. He says
You learned how to write. Then you learned you were doing it wrong. –Barry

Hi Wanda! I read Pam’s blogpost, and it was great! I can see why you chose it. I think it’s a great idea to keep all those tabs open so you have a bread-crumb trail to follow. I should do that!
Have a wonderful weekend my friend. I’m going to wander over and read another of your picks 🙂
