We are officially welcoming the first Friday of June. Can you believe we are already six months into 2014 already? Summer time is just around the corner and the temperature is rising around these parts.
Fridays around these parts I like to reflect on my week and share a few reads that encouraged, enlightened, inspired, or really spoke to me in some way throughout my week. I hope that might do the same for you as well.
As an introvert myself it is always interesting to read what others are sharing so I enjoyed Heather’s An Introvert in a Family of Extroverts.
In life we can get caught up in our daily rituals of must dos and lose sight of just how temporary things of this life is and how they can change. These lines from Rick’s Slip Away really speaks to me,
We do our best to accommodate without infantilizing him, knowing that, at some point, a wave we hadn’t expected could sweep more of the support out from beneath the bluff, and we’ll be powerless to keep him – like the sand on the shore – from slipping away. We must love them while we can, before they slip out of sight. –Rick
I found this great little blogging tip over at Fabulous Blogging about setting your blog hop buttons to display in your sidebar only on posts tagged with a specific tag along with other great tips for getting the most out of your blog’s sidebar in How to Create an EPIC Sidebar on Your WordPress Blog.
At times we can be too hard on ourselves that’s why I loved Isunji’s We’re Loved Warts and All.

I really can’t believe it is June, but it is certainly here. I can tell by the 50 e-mail invites to everything, from “gender reveal” parties to toddler graduations. Help, Lord! As an introvert, Summer can cause friction for me because, for whatever reason, people can’t just understand why I refuse to show up at EVERY SINGLE EVENT. Yes, indeed, I think I need to read the Friday Five. lol!

Lol…I a certain event invite that I should be looking forward to attend but introvert in me just isn’t so I’ve been dodging my email sadly. The extroverts amongst us just do not understand.
