Of Desolate Places, Slippery Slopes, & Finding the Light

By Wanda

Happy Friday friends! Not only is it Friday but the first day of August. Oh boy is this year trucking along fast. Around these parts, I like to share a few favorite finds and then invite you to link up your favorite reads or writes for the week.

The winds of change or sudden loss can propel us into desolate places, which is not our favorite place to camp out. However, LaVonne, does a wonderful job of taking Matthew 14  in A Desolate Place and calling one’s eyes to look the four C’s when we find ourselves in the desolate place.

It’s no surprise I have some weary days as I’m sure most of you have, right? Then this week I come across Amy’s If You Are Weary of Doing Good and it’s just the reminder I need to get back in the saddle again.

Every time I stop by Jennifer’s place it’s like stepping into a land ablaze with the most wondrous colors and words that seep deep into your soul. The reflections she shares on rest in Tripping the Light Fantastic are beautiful.

I liked the Observant Nomad’s view of using fear as tool in With or Without Fear

It teaches us lessons, allows us to make good decisions, and let’s us know when it’s time to revaluate our current plan. But living with fear is not the same thing as letting fear live with you. – Observant Nomad

In my excitement to get away and enjoy some R & R time,  I let all things slip right out my mind like sharing about my guest post, For Moments Life Feels Slippery,  for Women Walking with Jesus yesterday.

    Hi Wanda!
Thank you, for the new site links! August is here and I haven’t achieved all that I had planned, but that’s okay. I’m enjoying just being with my Father and drawing closer to Him, daily. Take care and much joy!
