When I shared about His Unfailing Love, I didn’t imagine it would be a full week before I would return to this writing space of mine. Yet somehow the world around me has become awfully noisy and I found myself void of words and needing to disconnect for awhile. When I read Barbie’s words in Simplifying & Opportunity for You, it was if she somehow had given voice to my inner feelings. I’m having to find my rhythm again in this blogging dance.
Tammi shared a great find on 10 ways to love.
You ever found yourself bored in your spiritual walk? I like Lola’s courage to talk about something I rarely hear others say out loud.
I once had a supervisor, who always approached me each morning with the same question that I wasn’t quite sure how to answer. Reading Jamal’s Misleading Question & Cheap Claims of Friendship took me back to those days. I really liked what he had to say about friendship.
“Contrary to popular opinion, I have come to realize that we cannot make or lose friends. We simply recognize the friends that we have been given from above.” – Jamal @ Illuminate
Another post that spoke to me was Beth’s Three Word Wednesday: Come to Me. Not because it overflows with long words in fact she says “I want to give you more but this is all that I have.” In in her title alone I’m reminded of the open invitation Jesus has extended for wearied souls like me. How often do we forget the essential thing we offer one another is to point each other to the One who fills, restores, and sustains. This world keeps right on moving without us whither we scribble words along these electronic journals or not. But life becomes bland and void of true purpose without Jesus.

THE FRIDAY FIVE FELLOWSHIP
Bree says
I struggled with a message to share this week as well, but I finally turned to God (like He’d been waiting for me to do all the while) and said, “Tell me what you want me to say. What do you want your people to hear?” A message that started out as a confession of what my week of weakness in my faith took on a whole new meaning as I just typed the words from my heart. I had to go back and read what I had written since I didn’t recognize it as the message I had originally intended. So on days (or weeks, or even months) when you feel like you’re losing perspective, go to the one who can make all things right. He’ll show you the way! Thank you for the great links you’ve shared today and the opportunity to link up!
Wanda says
Bree, I appreciate your words of wisdom. Isn’t it something how we can put so much pressure upon ourselves to come up with something to say instead of giving God the responsibility to speak through us? I have felt the pressure to say something lately and carrying that weight can get pretty heavy. It was never my intentions when I started this little online space. I totally understand what you mean about setting out to write something and having it turn into something else altogether. Thanks so much for sharing.
Ceil says
Hi Wanda! You are a very busy person, I’m sure that’s because God knows he can depend on you. That is such a blessing (even though it might not seem like it sometimes!). It’s so nice to see you back. Whether you have anything to say or not, it’s nice to keep connected.
I hope your weekend provides some rest and refreshment too.
Hugs,
Ceil
Wanda says
Oh Ceil, I appreciate those words of encouragement my dear. Your words remind me of a time I was complaining about my workload and niece with such sincerity said wow you keep getting these promotions. Needless to say it totally change the way I say things 🙂 Have a great weekend.
Cynthia says
Wanda,
Sometimes, it’s good to be still and just sit at His feet. In fact, we need to do more sitting at His feet than anything else. Don’t you agree? Yes, it is a blessing to be able to write and reach out to others and we should use the gifts that we have been given. But, more than anything else, in this world, we need to sit still and bask in the glory of our Father and just “be” with Him. This fills us up and gives us the strength to use our gifts. Love and peace to you! Cynthia
Wanda says
Yes I’m coming to learn that more and more Cynthia. I haven’t been doing that enough these days and we I do not do that I have little to offer others. Even still I know he longs to fellowship with us and just waits for us to come unto Him.
Alex J. Cavanaugh says
I read a guest post at Jeff Hargett’s site this morning that was an account of the person’s brother coming to Jesus. It was really powerful.

Another soul coming into the kingdom now that’s great news!

Barbie says
Wanda, I pray that you take the time you need to rest and recharge. I’m in this “in between” place. I love it most days, hate it other days. I know God will call me back to writing. Write now I am seeking His face and leaning into hear His voice. Hugs!
Wanda says
I’m doing just that Barbie. Continue to lean in Barbie and just go where He leads you. All the best to you.
Beth says
I’m so touched that you were moved by my post. It was all Him. I was so weary that night and didn’t know how I could give a profound TWW post. He reminded me the only thing He is asking me to give is my honest heart. Isn’t that what He wants from us all? It is a noisy world out there…only He can refresh us and it requires us to stop and find the rest we need in Him. Praying for you, friend. Thank you so much for sharing my post.
{Hugs}
Wanda says
Yes, it really spoke to right were I was at that moment Beth. It was simple but it simply all that was needed. Many blessings to you.

Wanda says
Hi Ren, just a few of the many good ones out there.
Alison Hector says
Hey Wanda! It’s okay to be wordless (yes, even us bloggers!) sometimes. I’ve been a bit worn out and decided not to post anything on Sunday or participate in any linkys, other than the one for my post from Friday. Sometimes our minds and spirits just need a rest in order to be replenished for future posts. It’s all good!
Have a great week, my friend.
Wanda says
I agree Alison. Sometimes less really is more. I’m seeing more and more bloggers speak of weariness. Rest is just as important as activity.
Mel Caldicott says
You have shared some fabulous posts and resources.

Hi Wanda!
I enjoyed reading your words of wisdom here. It’s amazing how the inspiration to write seems to ebb and flow. Unfortunately, I don’t put fingers to the keyboard often enough, for I think writing something once a week is great! You are being faithful to share so frequently. Thank you for an inspiring post!
Wanda says
Hi Nancy, what a pleasure to have you stop by. Writing does have it’s ebbs and flows and learning to peaceful follow it, although at the beginning of the year I had the idea of becoming more organized in blogging but it has not turned out the way I had expected.
Jamal Jivanjee says
