I am but the moon
sitting in the midst of darkness
If there be any light you see
do not wrongly attribute it to me
For the light shining is but a reflection
of the SON displaying hints of His glory thru me
Like the moon in the night sky
I have no light of my own
Instead like a moon I cast the light
of only what I’m shown

Wanda, did you write this? It’s beautiful! And I love the photo – the perfect complement to the poem.
Yes, Lord, may I be like the moon – a reflection of the Son!
GOD BLESS!
Yes I did write it. Actually scribbled out the words during Sunday’s service. I wanted to capture those those thoughts before they got swept away.
I really love this. It is a great reminder to start this week. God is shining through us. Shine on, God; shine on.
May He be ever brighter in and thru you may friend.
Hi Wanda, wow, what a beautiful poem and such a great picture to compliment it. Yes, the light we reflect is not our own, and I want the light I reflect to be the light of the Father.
God bless
Tracy
Thank you Tracy. I want to absorb more of Him as well.
Beautiful, Wanda. Poetry–another of your hidden talents! Thanks so much for sharing your work with us.
Beautifully written.
Thanks Denise.
Pam, it’s hidden indeed! On very rare occasions I’m inspired to write a poem.
Beautiful, Wanda! I love it.
Hey Ms Monica! Thank you dear.
Beautiful poem Wanda and you selected just the right photo to complement you photo. Indeed light of the Son does shine on you.
And in you as well Susan. I’m grateful that God would be in the midst of others like you shining the light of His glory.
This: “For the light shining is but a reflection of the SON displaying hints of His glory thru me.” Oh yes. May He shine ever brighter!
Indeed may His light grow stronger within the both of us my friend.
Beautiful poem Wanda. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Bernadine!
Good Morning Wanda!
What a gorgeous photo, and a still, reflective poem. You are so talented! I love that image of the moon, just like us. Reflecting his light. You sure do that.
Good to see you again! From A Little R and R,
Ceil
Thank you for the lovely compliment Ceil. On rare occasions God will inspire me to write a poem.
Wonderful analogy. Love it! Yes, we are all simply the moon reflecting the true Light.
: )
Thanks Gail, may you continue reflecting Him. Have a great week.
