Welcome to the Watered Soul. My name is Wanda and it’s a pleasure to have you stop by my little piece of the blogosphere. Whether this is your first visit or you have stopped by many times before, your visit matters. Not counting all the many other blogs, life offers a multitude of ways in which you could spend your time. Therefore, I’m honored that you would share a few moments here with me.
What You Will Find Here
In real-life I have always been a girl of few words and being in blog-land hasn’t changed who I am. My posts here tend to be short and sweet but I hope they pack a little punch. I usually share my thoughts on the three B(s)

What’s Behind The Name
I can’t really recall the exact day the name or the idea for blogging first came to mind. But the year was 2010 during a season of intense desert wandering. No I haven’t actually traipsed around a natural desert but I have spent years wandering around aimlessly in a spiritual desert. In the desert of life, I merely existed seeing little evidence of God’s presence. But it was there that I rediscovered his promise to provide life-giving water. Isaiah 58:11 says,
The LORD will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring.
Those words serve as the foundation of The Watered Soul. Rich or poor, black or white, young or old, male or female—thirst is universal. Each of us longs for something (even when we can’t define that something) to quench our thirst. Although that thirst sensation is common to us all, the method we choose to satiate that desire differs. In that quest to water our heat-stricken souls, many of us choose substitute sources such as: relationships, sex, drugs, power, prestige, food, success among others. Despite how filling we initially feel if we are honest with ourselves, those things never fully hit the spot.
You see it comes as no surprised to God that we often find ourselves in drought with little strength and feeling like we are going in circles. He promises to provide a resolution to our problem. He promises to guide us, to give water and to restore. I wish I could tell you that journey from dry desert to well-watered garden happens over night. But that just hasn’t been my experience (now maybe that’s different for someone else). Even now there are some areas of my life that need to be saturated.
When Can You Expect to Hear From Me
While I admire those who have the time and discipline to blog daily, I am not one them. Oh sure I have given daily blogging a try especially through my stints of participating in the A-Z Challenge. The very first year I did so I had only been blogger a few short months. Now that was quite an experience.
Typically, I try to post on average three times of week. To stay in the loop be sure to subscribe to blog via RSS, Bloglovin, or via email.
