Move by Faith

By Wanda

Too many of us want to see our way through a new endeavor before, we will even start. Imagine if we could see our way from beginning to end. How would we ever develop our Christian gifts? Faith, hope, and love cannot be picked from trees, like ripe apples. Remember, after the words, “In the beginning” (Gen 1:1) comes the word “God”. It is our first step of faith that urns the key in the lock of His powerhouse. It is true that God helps those who help themselves, but He also helps those who are helpless. So no matter your circumstances, you can depend on Him every time.

Waiting on God brings us to the end of our journey much faster than our feet.

Many an opportunity is lost while we deliberate after He has said “Move!”

–excerpt from Streams in the Desert

By faith Abraham, when called to a place he would later receive his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. Hebrews 11:8

Have you been hearing the whisper to get moving? What are you waiting on to get started?

Wanda, this word deserves some meditation. I was talking with a friend a few days ago who was hesitant to buy a musical instrument. She was worried about the cost. I had to remind her that this love and joy of music was born from almost dying several times in the last ten years, sometimes spending months hospitalized. I told her to keep in mind that the God that saved her life is the same God who will provide for that instrument. We need to remember “GOD WITH US”, so that fear will not creep in and hinder our journey. One of my favorite verses reminds me of this: Finishing is better than starting (Ecclesiastes 7:8). No matter what we see or do not see ahead, we must MOVE by faith, for we see by faith.

Such a great reminder LaVonne. Sometimes we can caught up on only one attribute of God such as healer and forget that He is also our provision.

It’s like waiting until everything is perfect. It will never happen. Our pastor always said we need to give God something to work with – if we take a step of faith, He’ll take us the rest of the way.

The perfect time will always allude us but sometimes the taking the first step can be the hardest.

I know Faith certainly plays a Big part in getting God to move in our lives. Not saying God’s mercy would not move if we did not have Faith or are a new believer who is just learning to step out. I believe God is moved by Faith. Faith pleases Him. Thank you Wanda for sharing. Blessings.

Faith is essential in both getting God to move as well as us moving with God.

Hi! Wanda I agree with you Wanda that what you said that Faith is essential in both. Being
patient allowing God to move, and for me to move when He says it is the time. Because by
my Faith I know He is God, and that He can do anything, and me having that Faith to know
that He will not led me into the wrong path. His (Time)… Will then also be my (Time). Love you
Wanda thanks for sharing that with us. Agape! 🙂
