Unfailing Love

By Wanda

heart background

Have you ever had someone say they will always love you only to find that in time they decided always was longer than they expected? The human conditional love we extend to others stands in stark contrast God’s love which is unfailing. Have you really thought about what the word unfailing means? This is how the online dictionary defines it.

1. Always able to supply more; inexhaustible:

2. Constant; unflagging:

3. Incapable of error; infallible.

God’s love is constant and without error. He is always able to supply more love. No matter how many times I fail (or you fail), you can’t exhaust his love.

Despite My Position His Love Remains Ezra 9:9
For we were slaves, but in his unfailing love our God did not abandon us in our slavery. Instead, he caused the kings of Persia to treat us favorably. He revived us so we could rebuild the Temple of our God and repair its ruins. He has given us a protective wall in Judah and Jerusalem.

His Love Seeks Me Out I Don’t Have to Search For It Psalm 23:6
Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever.

I Meet a Fresh Supply of His Love Daily Psalm 42:8
But each day the LORD pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life.

His Love Provides Satisfaction Psalm 90:14
Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives.

His Love Gives Me Support Psalm 94:18
I cried out, “I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O LORD, supported me.

If there were more of that kind of love in the human heart there’d be a lot less divorce and that would be a good thing.

I agree Arlee. Divorce is easy. Staying and being consistent in love takes real work.

Well, Wanda, it seems as if we’ve been meditating on the same thing: LOVE. God is love, and He dwells in us in to full and overflowing. Yes, we may slip, and fall, and get bruised and battered, but He is always right there to pick us up, hold us upright and heal every wound. Amazing love.

As little girls we always dream of that unfailin’ human love. That love has to be nurtured and worked at. I have been fortunate to have a spouse who’s eyes still light up when I walk into a room after 39+ years.

I rejoice each and every time I think of how much our Lord and Savior loves us….not matter what!!! Woohoo!!!!

God bless and enjoy your day sweetie!!! :o)

Ahh, how blessed you are Nezzy. May the sparkle continue to be in his eyes for many years to come. And may you continue to bask in the Father’s love.
