Welcome friends to another edition of The Friday Five here at The Watered Soul. Friday is when I like to show a little blog love to a few great reads I came across during my weekly blog reading.
Before I dish out this weeks tasty reads, I want to mention that a fellow blogger surprised me with the honor of being her featured inspired blogger for November. Stop over at Barbie’s place, My Freshly Brewed Life to check out the interview and while you are there take a look at the beautiful artwork she’s been sharing for the past 31 days. Both her paintings and her words are bound to capture your attention.
This weeks blog love goes out to the following:
-
Have You Found Your Story Yet at Jeff Goins Writer
This one left me pondering what is the core theme of my story. I don’t think I have anything really interested to say but we all have something in which to offer the world.
-
Who Am I by Holly Barrett
It’s one of those questions I think most of us have pondered at certain points of our lives. She shares three truths about the importance of settling our identity in Christ.
-
Why Twitter? Top 7 Ways to Use Twitter to Glorify God at Missional Women
Twitter is still a bit of mystery to me. I have tried to be more active there but I can’t say it’s a tool I have master much. It feels like I’m casting out pebbles in ever swiftly moving sea of words. I love the suggestions for using Twitter with purpose.
-
Our Lives Holds Gifts by Joanne at Days and Thoughts
A gentle stirring to use what you have no matter how small you may think it is.
-
The Strip Club by LaVonne at Sword of Goliath
About keeping in expectation when our faith is on the verge of being stripped. Love these lines from what she wrote:
That is how we are with God. While we attempt to capture His attention with our prayers we often fail to see in those moments that His answer has already taken flight, and the answer can surprise us when we finally see it.

Thanks for the links. I especially need to read the articles by Jeff Goins and Holly Barrett. And Twitter? Still a mystery to me too.
Wanda says
They are both great reads for sure. And it’s nice to know I”m not the only one swimming around some what clueless on Twitter.
Beth says
It was so wonderful to see you over at Barbie’s place today! In the short time I’ve known you…you surely are an inspiration my friend. I love your Friday Five. Wishing you a beautiful weekend!!
{Hugs},
Beth

Thanks Beth! Wishing you a great weekend as well.

Holly’s post struck a nerve. Who are we, really, outside of our identity in Christ? And I read Jeff’s post earlier this week and took mental note. I’m doing Don Miller’s Storyline course, and it has been a revelation to me. Our stories matter so much. I know that I have often thought that mine doesn’t – nobody wants to hear is what I get often from the devil. But he’s a liar, and I intend to prove him to be one.
Wanda says
Yes indeed He is a liar Alison.
Kim@stuffcould... says
I got to check out Barbies interview with you….I am not even swimming in twitter, I just don’t get it
Wanda says
Kim, I understand dear. Sometimes I just feel like all these social media sites are just too much. I’m definitely a late adopter.

Wanda – Thank you for including me in your post. I had read three of the above during the week so I am heading over to read the one remaining after I grab my coffee 🙂 I know it will bless me as the three I read were excellent!
Have a great weekend!
Thank you again,
Joanne
Wanda says
You’re quite welcome Joanne! Hope your week ahead is a great one. Thanks for linking up this week.
LaVonne says
Happy November, Wanda! It is pouring rain here, and the perfect time for reading your Friday Five. Thanks for including me.
Wanda says
LaVonne. Is it really November already? This year is moving swiftly along. We have beautiful clear blues skies this weekend so I found myself out and about yesterday.
Julie says
Oo goodie! I can’t wait to check out some of these blogs! I’m such a half-hearted Tweeter, I’m especially looking forward to reading about how I might better use it to further God’s kingdom! Keep up the great work here Wanda! And thank you so much for stopping by Face In The Bible! I hope you’ll swing by again! 🙂
Wanda says
Hi Julie, it’s always a pleasure to come across other bloggers. I certainly can’t say I have mastered Twitter but I get plunging ahead. Hope you have a great rest of the week.
