Welcome to another edition of The Friday Five, where I share 5 interesting reads I came across this week that convicted, challenged, or called me to action in some way. The Friday Five is my attempt to shine the light on the many talented bloggers sharing their gifts and wisdom with the world.
So without further ado. This week’s blog love goes to:
Does God Need Your Platform at Jon Acuff { a call to remember that’s it’s really not about our platform} In the article Jon says he constantly reminds himself of the following:
God will not be handcuffed by my failures or unleashed by my successes- Jon Acuff
It Starts With You at Tent Making Mums {a reminder that we are not simply called to see issues but get busy doing what we can}
You Fit No Matter How Out of Place You Look at Gary Morland. Here’s a great quote from Gary’s article:
When I obsess over shortcomings as if they were sin, I become my own God, inventing my own definition of sin. I make my shortcomings bigger deals than my self-rule and self-sufficiency. –Gary Morland
Being Missional the New Legalism at Sola Sisters {asks the question are their ordinary Christians vs. super Christians} In her post, Christine quotes Anthony Bradley as saying,
Today’s Millennial generation is being fed the message that if they don’t do something extraordinary in this life they are wasting their gifts and potential. The sad result is that many young adults feel ashamed if they ‘settle' into ordinary jobs, get married early and start families, live in small towns, or as 1 Thess 4:11 says, ‘aspire to live quietly, and to mind [their] affairs, and to work with [their] hands.' –Anthony Bradley
5 Reasons Why Your Introverted Pastor Doesn’t Hate You at PC Walker {although he speaks from the view of a pastor, I found it to be very relevant to how I feel as introvert}
So that’s The Friday Five for this week. Now it’s your time to share. What great finds have you come across this week?
Until next time…

Once again, Wanda. You have brought us some thoughtful reading.
“The biggest lie in all of this is the idea that the size of your platform is somehow linked to the amount of glory God receives.” – Jon Acuff
Funny how it all seems to fit into your recent blog on the importance of humility.
