An App to Start Your Morning| Daily Streams

By Wanda

Before winning a copy of Streams in the Desert by L.B. Cowman two years ago in a blog giveaway, I had never heard of this popular devotional.  However, since that time I have come to enjoy incorporating it into my times of devotion.  Streams in the Desert has become one of the most dearly loved, best-selling devotionals of all time since it’s first published in 1925.

Several months ago,  Victor Goh of Tap Tap Studio wrote to inform me of his apps for spiritual growth based upon classics such as Streams in the Desert, Faith’s Checkbook and Daily Light on the Daily Path.  I have been using the app Daily Streams for awhile now and I enjoy the convenience of having this on my tablet.

When I first began using the app, I had one complaint. I couldn’t go back and read the previous days devotional. However, I soon discovered the feature wasn’t missing from the app. I had simply overlooked how to tab backward.  One of the features I like is the ability to easily share the verse of the day to social networking sites. And the apps doesn’t require an Internet connection to work.

Daily Streams - Android Apps on Google Play

The app is available for both android and iOS and is free at the Google play store.

What apps are you using these days?

This sounds like an App for me to try, Wanda. So far, I have only a couple standard Bible versions on my tablet. One of my goals has been to add to my e-library books and apps that are user-friendly and have good content, and this app sounds like just the one to start with.

I hope you enjoy the app LaVonne. Although I do have the book, I enjoy having the ability to easily carry it along with with my vast e-library with me.

Though, I haven’t heard about this app before but this is actually what I need and the best part is that it doesn’t need any internet connection to work. Thanks Wanda for recommending this awesome app. Will surely download it.
