In Need of a Boost

By Wanda

There are those days when you just feel a bit down or grieved but there’s a pick-me-up available for us. Psalms 119: 25,28 reminds me of this truth.

I lie in the dust;

     revive me by your word.

I weep with sorrow;

     encourage me by your word.

It’s at those times that I need to feed upon His Word.  May the Lord open our eyes to see the wonderful truths in His Word. As we turn to Him and consume His Word may we be revived and encouraged to continue on the journey.

    Hi Wanda,

    This weekend I read several blogs which referenced 1 Thessalonians 5:18, "give thanks in all circumstances".

    Yesterday during worship service, I began confessing my thanks to God. I realized that in my current circumstance, I could thank the Sovereign Lord for His grace that enables me to endure my circumstance.

    This passage in Psalm 119, also speaks to me of God's unchanging love and grace given to those who call on Him.

    Hebrews 12:28-29 says, "Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our 'God is a consuming fire.'"

    May week seek to be consumed by The Eternal God.

    Blessings and peace.
