Trust is . . .

By Wanda

Money In God We Trust

Trust is moving forward at the beck of your call
even though I am very much of afraid of a possible fall
Trust is not looking with my natural eyes
but rather beholding what you envision for me.
Trust is taking the leap
when I would feel much better with just a quick peep.
Trust is waving goodbye to the place of comfort
and opening the brand new door with open arms
Saying no I will not be alarmed.
Trust is not found within my own abilities
but simply in my confidence of know who you are.
And believing in who you have said I can be

Linking up with Gypsy Mama for 5-Minute Friday. Where we just write without the fear of being right.

Trust develops through relationship rather with God or others.

Mmm. Wow…(I linked up over at Gypsy Mama too for today….)
“Trust is not found within my own abilities
but simply in my confidence of know who you are.”
Only He grants all we need….praise Him….trust is only found when we turn both eyes to gaze upward…and behold…and allow HIm to fill our hearts.
May He fill your day with His grace~

Amen, Wanda, Amen! A great reminder for us all, especially when many will go into this weekend feeling extreme loneliness. God is with each one of us, and He is ahead of us; we can trust Him.

I can so relate to your words. I just did this and it was difficult and I’m still nervous about putting myself out there.
WE have to keep at it, fight our fear and trust our right to live! 😀

You are right Ella. Some days the fight is harder than others.

Wow…this is wonderful Wanda! A lot to reflect on with this poem. I especially like “Trust is not found within my own abilities but simply in my confidence of know who you are.”

That really captures trusting God. Thank you for sharing this. God has truly gifted you!

    Blessings…Susan

Thank you for the lovely compliment Susan. Any thing I have has truly been a gift from the Father and I’m honored to have the opportunity to share with so many others like you whom He has gifted.

That’s some meaningful verse. Maybe we should keep a few of those bills as collectibles. They may eliminate that phrase in the near future since it is offensive to some.

Trust is opening up yourself to the possibility of the greatest experiences or the most cutting betrayals. It is a choice we must make daily…..

Very well said Rhapsody. It’s often the fear of betrayal that causes me to distrust. But I am learning that even if betrayal does happen that God is big enough to help me past the pain.

Wanda, my husband and I have a big decision awaiting us, and I have longed for God to lead us. He is. But the decision is still a scary one. This poem touched my heart – it expressed so eloquently just what I’ve been feeling. Yes, the Lord leads, and He provides the courage to follow. Trust – it’s what it’s all about.

    GOD BLESS!
