Ever find yourself lamenting about what you don’t have or what you don’t know? I find myself taking small steps to launch out on another adventure with God but I get stuck on I-don’t-know lane. Then I meander around the lanes of others finding reassurance of just how little I do know. But as I was coming to my house after a quick walk around the block, the whisperer spoke—USE WHAT YOU HAVE.
Just four simple words yet so freeing. Truth is there is lot I do not know but He reminded me to use what is in my hand now. Have I made adequate use of the knowledge I already have? Am I using the skills I possess right now to the fullest? My honest answer-no.
Perhaps your answer is similar to mine. If so, I share the same words the whisperer shared with me, use what you have now. As little as you may deem it to be, it has value at this very moment. Recently I snagged a quote from my bloggy friend over at Sword of Goliath.
Whatever you possess in this moment, even if it is only one good thought, that is more than enough to bless another. –LaVonne
She has a way with words that often cause me to pause and reflect and today her quote and the whisperers words form a perfect symphony urging me to simple open my hand, my voice, my mouth and share what I have. It’s impossible to use what we do not possess and if it’s not in our possession in this moment, we really don’t need it now. Let us trust that what we need will arrive in the moment it is needed.
Until next time…

My Jesus! Wanda, this is a much needed word TO ME today in many ways. For the last few weeks, I’ve been tempted to wander (more like crash) into other lanes instead of focusing on whatever is in my possession and using that by faith. I took one small step on Friday (sending something I needed to someone who needed it more). It was scary, but I did it. You will understand, I believe, when you see my blog today. Now is not the time to wander off. Thanks for the encouragement to take another look at what I have in this moment and to use it by faith.

Oh my, I can’t wait to read your post. Hooray for you in taking the scary step. To really master our focus is great task.

What a good word. Sometimes I feel like what I have isn’t enough or can’t be used, but that just isn’t true. I’ve come to realize we each have our own unique story, but only need the courage to step out and tell it, bc you really don’t know who needs to hear your story.
Blessings!

You’re so right Alecia. We never know the ripple effect our stories may have on the lives of others.
