With just a little over a hour left of Friday here in Arkansas, I finally find the time to sit down at my computer. Things haven’t gone as I expected. I have been plagued with pop-up plumbing problems.
This Friday I decided to share a few interesting quotes from some interesting articles I read this week.
In not making a choice, you’re really choosing confusion rather than taking a chance. You’re more comfortable with the (crappy) status quo than with committing to some things and letting other things go. –Laura Smith of Create As Folks
The great thing about obedience, though, is that it kicks in when motivation wears out. – Alisa Hope Wagner’
Why doesn’t it always matter more to love well?
Is it because relationships don’t bring us paychecks or praise? – Ann Voskamp , How to Live Your Best Life.
Each of these quotes make me stop and take inventory of my life? Far too often I’ve chosen the comfort of the common rather than launching out bravely into the unknown. Behind closet doors are way too many projects I started out with great zeal only to lose my motivation before finishing the course. And then there is the matter of loving well.
These quotes remind of the many ways I have cheated myself and those around me. It’s late and these eyes of mine are fighting hard not to close. This post ends put these quotes linger.
What great quotes have you come across recently? Are there any choices you have been putting off lately? Have you been relying more on personal motivation rather than obedience? Has loving well been your focus this week?
