Where has your focus been lately? Have your eyes been glued to all the disorder, dis-ease, and seemingly disconnected happening around you? Has what’s wrong and what’s missing been consuming your thoughts and conversation?
When we aim our hearts and minds to the empty and unfulfilled places or promises in our lives, it’s easy to forget about all the many beneficial things already in our possession.
Bless the Lord oh my soul and forget not all his benefits. (Psalms 103:2 ESV)
Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me. (Psalms 103:2 NLT)
So life is not happening quite the way you dream but is not the Lord still worthy of your praise? Yes there are still some missing pieces from your life puzzle that you can’t manage to connect but is there not still good things the Lord does for you daily?
Think on those things! Forget not your benefit package!
My mind has mostly been trying to focus on the Spirit, so all in all, I’m having a pretty good week!
Sounds like you’ve been on the right track. I sort veered off course over the weekend.
Prior to my recent trip to Ecuador my mind was consumed by all sorts of negative thinking about that trip. Now that it’s over I can once again proclaim that God is great and always blesses me. My worries were silly human fears and my eyes have been opened to the greater possibilities that God has to offer me in my life. Praise Him always!
Good you back to finding delight in His goodness Arlee.
Good, good words! There’s been quite a lot lately that’s distracted me – discouragement, disorder, discontent – and my heavenly perspective has been a little blurry.
Gotta remember to put on my *faith glasses* every day, and focus on the One Who Sees Me!
GOD BLESS!
Oh I can relate Sharon. This weekend I allowed some disorder to cloud my vision but I’m grateful for God’s gentle reminder to change my focus.
Amen!!! That is why it is important to stay connected in the word of God.
That’s very true. I was talking with someone earlier today and that were talking about the importance of staying connected to the vine.
Ah, Wanda, I am so thankful for this reminder today. Things are definitely not going the way I planned, but I praise God because I know they are all working out according to His plans. Praise Him!
Being in the middle of the plan not knowing exactly where we fit in can be uneasy but He’s assured us He knows exactly what he’s doing.
Wanda, I’m having a terror of a time with Blogger (error code bX-5dvf4a won’t let me post anything), so I am not sure when I’ll be able to blog again.
Sorry to hear your encountering problems LaVonne. Have you tried clearing your cache or using another browser or computer. Not long ago Susan had a problem posting from her blogger blog.
Such a welcome reminder to focus on our blessings. God is good! Thank you for this, Wanda.
I needed that reminder Angel. Over the weekend I got my eyes glued on the wrong things. Only to awake with this reminder to change my focus.

Thxs Denise.
The bad news in the world can seem to get too much attention….good reminder to keep seeking Him
Bad news certainly has a way of spreading like wild fire.
Been trying to focus on finishing my 2nd draft, but distractions do get in the way.

I tell you have much respect for you book writers.
I’m finally learning that when I keep my eyes on Jesus that the disjointedness of this world doesn’t effect me as much. When I start becoming frustrated, I know that my focus is off its mark! Thank you for this reminder!
Now that’s so true Alisa. When I’m easily irritated I know that I haven’t been abiding well. Blessings to you.
