We are only five days into the beginning of the new year and my mind has already drifted to what happens after the thrill of jotting down January’s resolutions and penning our favorite word for the year.
What happens after we are in the thick of life’s routine again? When the confetti is swept away and the shimmer of hopes become obstructed by the clouds of disappointments and the passing of time—what becomes of all our planning and resolve?
You see I know what it feels like to burn out mid-year but oh how I want to cling on to H O P E not just in January but till the end. I’m over at Blogs by Christian Women exploring how to Hold Onto Hope Throughout the Year.
Blessings….
One day at a time
Patience with self
Acceptance and determination
You will get through without burn out.
peace…
have a fabulous week
Thanks for the words of encouragement Rhapsody!
holding onto hope when it’s time to just walk on,
just move one foot in front of the other
and trust God and open your heart to love and keep loving
and do the next right thing
while believing wholehearted that we are children of Light
and safe and kept in His wisdom and kindness and protection.
He is a faithful shepherd
and we are his own,
the sheep of his pasture.
Sometimes believing this is a full time job, isn’t it.
Thanks for this stirring post,
Jennifer
Indeed it is a fulltime job Jennifer. Just when I think I’ve gotten it down something comes along to stretch me again.
So glad to read this, Wanda. Having faith and hope that endures after the glitter has been put in the trash and all the cornbread is gone is something else. When I am tempted to quit on hope and faith, I am reminded that I am chosen and I keep holding on because of Him. “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that remains, so that WHATEVER you ask the Father in My name He will give you.” – John 15:16. I am determined to keep holding on. Lord, increase our faith, our strength and our love.
Love this LaVonne. He has held on to far before we ever knew to hold onto Him.
I went over and read it Wanda and what a lovely and thought provoking post it was! Thanks for sharing it! Hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and may you have a blessed 2014 my friend!!
