One of the songs I grew up singing was Yes Jesus Loves Me. How did I know because the Bible tells me so. Life presents many opportunities for us to questions ourselves, our beliefs, and everything we hold truth.
It’s important to have a few things that we know for sure. What is it that you know for sure today?
Some days I forget that I have no need to attempt to be strong for it is my weakness that his strength is made perfect.
Too many days I forget that prayer is not just a must do to check off my list but a wonderful privilege to hear the heart of the father.
Far too often I lose sight of the fact that I am not to compare myself to others but to be ever blooming into the unique wonderful being He created me to be.
I spend too much time analyzing and trying to figure out my way when Christ promises to be the one to show me the way.
What is that I know I know for sure?

Hi Wanda! Now I have that song playing in my head!
I can really relate to your ‘prayer as a checklist’ thing. I often include prayer in my to-do list. I really want to be sure that I make time for it, which is good. But I don’t want to make it a rote practice, like brushing my teeth. Which is bad.
Christ will show us the way! He is the Good Shepherd.
Happy Thursday 🙂

Ha those little tunes can easily become implanted into our heads Ceil. May we have the right heart attitude in all our doing. Many blessings to you Ceil.

I know for sure that even when I ‘feel’ hopeless my soul is anchored in hope.
Wanda says
Your words makes me the think of the song that says build your hopes on things eternal. So grateful for anchor that holds.

What comfort to KNOW Whom we have believed and be persuaded that He is able to keep that which we’ve committed unto Him against that day! Sometimes, that is all we have to cling to…KNOWing that He is in control. That He reigns. That He is working all things together for our good. We may never have the answers to the questions in our minds, but we have to focus on what we know for certain. Thank you for this gentle reminder today. 🙂 God bless you for all of your help through my trials!

So true Cheryl. At times we get to focused on what we do not know and we just to get back to the basics of just what it is that we do know. It’s in our knowing that we find we know more than enough to make it through. You are a quite welcome dear. Glad I was to assist you. I must get over to read your latest post. The title is quite intriguing.

Thank you for these reminders, Wanda! We make life so hard.

Can just imagine that God just shakes his head at us at times.

Wanda, I just lost my comment. I’m going to try again…

OK, here it is:
I loved this post! Before I moved up to the mountains, I participated in a ministry to an assisted living facility. We would go once a week and have a *church service* for them. One of the things we did was sing Jesus Loves Me. It was so precious to see those dear old ones singing – for almost every one of them remembered the song and the words, even the ones who suffered from dementia and crippling physical problems. It brought ears to my eyes.
What do I know? I KNOW that Jesus loves me. Oh yes, indeed.
GOD BLESS!

It’s one of the first songs I remember learning as kid as I can imagine it probably was for many of them. What a great ministry to take part. It’s no surprise that they would remember that song from their youth since many might not remember things from their recent years but younger days are often very vivid.

So good Wanda! I didn’t grow up singing that song. I didn’t grow up knowing the Lord. One thing I know for sure today is that My Redeemer has come to set me free, and continually sets me free. Blessings!
