And there came a lion. I Samuel 17:34 (KJV)
“Normally we think of a lion not as a special blessing from the Lord but only as a reason for alarm. Yet the lion was God’s opportunity in disguise. Every difficulty and every temptation that comes our way, if we receive it correctly, is God’s opportunity. When a “lion” comes to your life, recognize it has an opportunity for the Lord, no matter how fierce it may outwardly seem.”- C.H.P. Streams in the Desert.

I’m laughing as I read this, Wanda. I can’t explain why here, but, believe me, I have been blessed by these words today.

Glad it blessed you as it did me when I read it this morning. Honestly my first reaction to the lions of life is to run for cover…lol.

Yes, it is in those difficult moments, we define who we are! I agree run is what I think of first~
Face the music, I mean lion!
YOU always give me something to ponder!

Love this Wanda! I always think of a lion in this way; Jesus came to earth like a lamb to show God’s gentleness and kindness and will return as a lion to rule and judge His people. I have stuffed lions and lambs all over my house, but I rather hope I don’t come face to face with a real lion anytime too soon-ha! 🙂
Have a joyful weekend!

Wanda, this is a great one. I believe every moment in life is an opportunity for something great to happen, even if it appears bad. After all, look at Joseph and His brothers! In times like these it’s just another way of how God can reveal how marvelous He truly is to us.
Blessings always.

Hi Ashley, you are right opportunities for God’s glory to be displayed in/through our lives happen all the time. However sometime we can be too focus on the obstacle that we miss the opportunity.
