I recently had the pleasure of launching a blog redesign for Ren’s blog, Consider the Lilies. She was one of the winners of the Spring Bless Your Blog Makeover co-hosted by Prayer Notes by Cynthia and The Watered Soul.
Here’s how Ren’s blog looked before her Spring makeover.
And here’s a look at the after shot.
For her makeover, I chose to use a teal blue and yellow color scheme. She was open to anything except for orange and neon colors. We gave her blog a new personality by including the following in her custom blog design:
- Changed her sidebar to the right side giving her posts the main attention since we typically read from left to right
- Created a custom header that incorporated the use of lilies to coordinate with her blog’s name
- Used a two-tone teal chevron background
- Created a stylized about me profile image rather than using the standard blogger profile image
- Designed a coordinating grab button { she was delighted to get her very own blog button}
- Created a custom post signature for her that now displays at the end of every post
- Customized her blog’s favicon (the small image that displays at the top of the tab when you open a website) rather than using the default B blogger favicon

It’s just perfect.. I love everything about it.. Especially now that I have my own button (I have no idea how to make one, so I’m super excited)!
