You know I hate goodbyes.
And this one is no different,
but some times life forces you to say so long.
As a WordPress user now, Goggle is forcing me (and other non-blogger blogs) to say hasta la vista to Google Friend Connect. Although I am not sure what will happen to all those smiling faces on the side of my blog come March 1st, I do know you will be missed but we don’t have to part ways.
4 easy ways to stay connected
1. Follow this blog via RSS by using your favorite reader. Mine happens to be Google Feed Reader.
2. Stay up-to-date by getting the latest delivered to your email.
3. Keep in the loop through NetworkedBlogs via Facebook.
4. Link up via Linky Followers (the newest method I found).
See we have options and I hope you will find one that fits you.
I THINK I’m signed up for RSS now too. Will see what happens on the 1st!

Yep, the first will be here soon.
Hi Wanda – I have joined via linky followers. Here’s hoping google changes their minds. Don’t want to lose out on seeing my favourite blogs. 🙂
God bless

We can certainly hope they change things. I am sure that think they have “good” reason for making the change.
Wow! I’ll have to try the Linky Followers. This is my first time hearing of it.

If you have a blogspot blog it’s my understanding that you will still be able to use GFC on your blog but you might miss out on others who are noted hosted on blogger.
Like Joanne, I THINK I am signed up. I will find you somehow, no matter what,. Your posts are too good to miss, Wanda!
Ahh, thanks Pam 🙂
Wanda you are a good friend. I will find you also. I have no idea about Rss and all that stuff but now Google is forcing us all to try new things. You are on my blog roll couldn’t I just click on it to get to you?? HELP!

Hi Debra, RSS stands for really simple syndication and it is another way to subscribe to any blogs you like. I remember when I first started blogging I didn’t have a clue about either and I was trying to keep up with all the blogs I was interested in my using the Reading List in the blogger dashboard. That didn’t work so well. Google Reader allows me to read all (whether blogspot or wordpress blogs) in one easy location. Here is a link to an article with a better explanation. But YES having me on your blogroll works too my friend.
I’m with Blogspot, but I’ve already placed the Linty Followers widget in my sidebar, just to stay connected to everyone.

Smart idea Alex. You never what other changes may be coming soon. It reminds of finding something I like at the store and then suddenly they stop carrying it.
I think I will stay in touch via email,
Best of luck friend.
Glad we will be able to stay in touch Yvonne.
Golly…that’s not good. Thank goodness I have a link to you on my blog. But I’d better have a back up plan with an RSS feeder. Thank you for the tip. I’m blessed every time I stop by. The Lord frequently speaks to me through your post.
Blessing Wanda!
