With the close of another week, I’m reflecting on some of the great finds I discovered across the blogosphere. Here’s this weeks Friday Five picks:
Inspired or Energized? by Kim at Wow Dee Wow
I love this line from Kim’s post:
But I require more than inspiration. I can’t do life with just my own strength. I will give up, left to my own resources. I’ll quit chasing my dreams, and I’ll forget that I am on a supernatural team. – Kim @ Wow Dee Wow
Don’t Be Afraid to Start All Over by Ally at Sammy Adebiyi
As a clutcher that clings too tight I tend to keep on path far longer than it remains to be productive. Ally’s post reminded that Starting All Over can be one the most freeing things to do.
Little Words of Encouragement & Essential Fridays #13 by Mel @Essential Things Devotions
After reading Mel’s writing, I saw the account of Luke 9 in a fresh way.
Your Story is Worth Finishing by Luke at A Deeper Story
Luke share his struggle with depression and thoughts of suicide. Did you know it was National Suicide Prevention Week?
Is Your Work Eating You? Parasites by Julia at Come Have Peace
Cautioned me to watch out for the many ways I can allow work to become a parasite.
Mel Caldicott says
Thanks so much for the mention, Wanda. Love the way you encourage others here. Hope you have a blessed day.

I’m so glad to be included in your Friday Five Wanda! Thank you for sharing. Oh that our work would please HIM and not become a nasty parasite …

Love that quote by Kim@Wow Dee Wow…”But I require more than inspiration. I can’t do life with just my own strength. I will give up, left to my own resources. I’ll quit chasing my dreams, and I’ll forget that I am on a supernatural team”…powerful! Thanks so much for hosting Wanda and thanks for linking up…have a blessed weekend my friend!

We each included the story from Luke. Very sobering & powerful story. I will pour myself another cup of coffee & come back to read the others. Thanks for sharing!
Have a great Saturday!
Joanne
Wanda says
Thanks Joanne, hope you have great Saturday as well.
Bernadine says
Just visited some of the blogs you mentioned Wanda, great reads. Thanks for sharing.
Wanda says
Glad you were able to visit a few of them Bernadine. Hope your week is off to a great start. Always a pleasure to have you over for a visit.
Alison Hector says
This from Luke’s post stood out, Wanda: “If you close the book now, when the drama in the story is at its most fevered and the pain most intense, you’ll never know how the hero of your story would’ve turned out.” So often we do not consider ourselves heroes. All light has been dimmed to the point that it all seems pointless. But as Luke explains, there really is “a crowd of witnesses” cheering us on, not just in the heavenlies but right here on earth.
Another blogging friend wrote about this being Suicide Prevention Week. Today there’s a Twitter chat going on at 7:00 p.m. on the topic.
Wanda says
I have been hearing more and more about individuals attempting suicide. It’s good to hear that it’s getting more awareness.
