  I never thought I would enjoy an e-reader but I’ve been surprised, although I still appreciate holding a real book in my hands.

  While I’m sure you’d enjoy a Kindle, you don’t have to have one to enjoy the free books. Amazon has several apps for smartphones and/or PC available even if you don’t own one. I used the Kindle for PC on my computer before I ever purchased the Kindle. However, I didn’t like sitting in front of the computer reading a book; so I used it far less than I do my actual Kindle.
