As the world grieves the passing of the iconic Whitney Houston, her song I Will Always Love You rings in my ears. While she may have sang those words the best, she certainly was not the first to declare an everlasting love. In Jeremiah 31:3, God declares,
I have loved you with an everlasting love
So rather your day is filled with chocolates, roses, and hearts or not know that you are loved by the Almighty. He loves you past your imperfections, weaknesses, and even when you willfully do the wrong thing. Our actions do not always please Him but He loves us nevertheless.
Happy Valentineās Day
So true, Wanda! Thankfully, God’s love is totally unconditional.
Yes, if it was with conditions, none of us would be eligible.
Wanda,
You are right! Once again, a wonderful post! Oh, to be loved by the Almighty is worth more than any chocolates, flowers or worldly riches. Thank you, for “being.” Blessings to you and Happy Valentine’s Day!
Thanks Cynthia. While it is nice to receive those tokens of love, God’s love is incomparable.
There is no greater gift we could receive on this special day or any day, than the Love the Father has given us. How great is His Love for us!
Yes, I am relishing in that gift today.
so true! I will miss Whitney’s voice but I am so grateful for His everlasting love in my life.
I was shocked to learn of her passing but I am grateful for God that out lasts ALL things.
HI Wanda – great way to combine the truth of God’s love with the awesome talent He endowed on Whitney Houston. Great post
God bless
Tracy
Thanks Tracy. It does us well not to lose sight of that His love never changes despite changing circumstances around us.
How great is His love; it flows on through eternal ages without a beginning or an end! Beautiful words Wanda! š
Blessings and hugs friend,
Denise
Thank you for these words of promise from our Savior.
My heart is saddened by the loss of this lovely woman.

I hope you had a beautiful Valentine’s Day yourself.
God bless ya and enjoy this day in the Lord!!! :o)
You have described what I have thought about that song….He will always love us!
Her story is so tragic, I remember the first time I saw her music video. I was in the hospital. Beautiful reminder how precious life; our journey is not alone
, I met you at the first alphabet challenge. I’ve been away for awhile but I’m back. Yes Whitney is a tragic story. May she R.I.P.
