One of the things I have learned on this journey with Jesus is that often new doors of opportunity pop open when I feel the least prepared or deserving to walk through them. But that is also what I’m coming to love most about the Savior. He doesn’t ask us to rely upon ourselves instead He offers us His grace, His strength.
When I launched The Watered Soul almost four years ago to chronicle my journey with Jesus I had no idea where all this blogging path would take me. Excitedly I announce it’s leading me down a new path as I become one of the contributing writers for Women Walking With Jesus. I’m so honored to be a part of this new ministry endeavor lead by Lisa Shaw of Lisa Shaw Cares. Lisa has brought together a blend of women from various age groups, cultures, life stages, and backgrounds to share their personal stories, words of encouragement, and hearts for Jesus. Hope you will you join us each month for Women Walking With Jesus. Please stop by Lisa’s to see all the other lovely women, who will be writing for Women Walking with Jesus and to learn more about the ministry.
Have you had unexpected opportunities open up for you recently?
Elizabeth West says
I can’t say anything has opened up, but there has been good feedback on my books, and I keep having this weird feeling that something major is going to happen. I also realized that I can do anything I want, and I don’t really have much to complain about. I feel as though I’m being prepped for something, but I have no clue what it could be. (There’s something I would LIKE, but I can only hope that’s in there–God already knows what it is, haha.)
Whatever it is, I’m starting to feel as though it’s not here, where I am at this moment. So I guess I need to prepare for that.

I am certainly honored that you would ask me Lisa. I remember years ago when I stumbled upon your blog and was so surprised that you would actually take the time to stop by mine. Love your sweet spirit sister.

Congrats, Wanda!! This is very exciting! Can’t wait to hear all about this new venture!
For me, sometimes I find that God leads me to a *waiting time* – and that is the hardest thing sometimes. But we do well to recognize that these times are also opportunities to go where He leads. Sometimes it’s all about an inner journey.
GOD BLESS!

Hi Wanda! What a great step for you my friend. This will give you an even bigger platform to praise the Lord and influence so many Christians. No wonder you have been blogging less lately…it all makes sense now!
Will you keep up this blogsite too?
You have worked hard, and have lifted up others on your way to this new venture. God sees what you do. He’s ready to lift you up too!
Blessings always,
Ceil
Wanda says
Hi Ceil, yes I will still be here as this my blogging home. Lisa’s invitation to be apart of Women Walking with Jesus came at a rather odd time for me personally. One in which I find myself writing/blogging less yet I still felt lead to say yes. So that’s where the trust part comes in at for me. I’m trusting that Jesus will give me the words to say.

What an exciting opportunity! It is interesting how He calls us to do things we don’t quite feel ready for. It shows me, once again, how He longs for us to be dependent on Him. Blessings to you, Wanda…
Wanda says
It sure does require us to stay connected to him for sure.
