Welcome friends to another edition The Friday Five, where I like to share a few of the inspiring reads I have come across as I travelled across blogland and then I invite you to join the fun by sharing your favorite reads or writes in The Friday Five Fellowship.
No one likes a bully yet how often do we allow ourselves to be bullied by our inner critic? Ceil tackles her Temple Talk and invites the perfect candidate to act as her bouncer.
The Virus by Alison she does such a great job of pointing out the similarities of our spiritual lives with our computers and how we need to be consistently scanning for spiritual malware.
How to Support the Bloggers You Love by Ashlee at Where My Heart Resides provides some great tips for supporting other bloggers beyond the usual leaving a comment. I especially liked her tip #6 of visit their blog before shopping on Amazon. Doing this helps bloggers who are Amazon affiliates earn a small commission off your purchase and it cost you nothing extra! Now that’s a win win in my book.
I discovered this refreshing soul drink when Jeanine linked up with The Friday Five last week and I’m so glad she did. If you feel as if you struggling or walking through dark places, be sure to read these comforting words in When You Need to Press On Through the Night.
When we read about the Israelites constructing idols and choosing to worship those man-made items instead of the living God, it can be easy for us to see their foolishness but we often miss the subtle ways in which we build little idols of our own. I found Jessica’s article, Marriage is My Idol, at Devotional Diva interesting.
There you have it friends, my Friday Five picks for this week. Now tell me about what you have read that struck a chord with you this week.

One of my favorites of the five was Ashlee’s about supporting the bloggers you love. All of her points reminded me that it doesn’t take much to be courteous, genuine and generous and how much it means to all of us to have people in our blogging world like that. Something I want to cultivate as I desire community kindled in my blogging world.
Wanda says
She really had some great suggestions for extending support to one another. Hope you enjoy a wonderful weekend Jeannie.

Wanda – Again you gave me some good reading 🙂 I love that I can always find one or two links that I missed during the week! I enjoyed the tips on supporting bloggers. So true that we need to be genuine & love each other, yes, even on the internet. Maybe more so. May you have a blessed weekend – one of rest & delights in Him! Blessings, Joanne
