Here we are once again time for another edition of The Friday Five were I highlight a few of the interesting reads I stumbled across during my week.
Lately I have started giving essential oils a try so I found Jillee’s tips for 40 {More} Uses for My Favorite 4 Favorite Oils helpful.
As I read When You Have Too Many Plates, these words really struck me, “God never asked me to say yes to every project, every opportunity, even every need or every person. He didn’t. I don’t see it in the Bible where He commanded me to do it all or die trying.”-Mary Carver
It’s not talked about much in Christian circle’s but Chris does a lovely job of bringing awareness and showing love in A Mother Faces Her Daughter’s Enemy-Depression.
For anyone experiencing transition Julie’s Your Title Isn’t You is a good one.
Answering the question how many children you have is a simple one right? But how do women who have had an abortion answer the question? Tammy shares her story in I Have Two, No…Three

Hi Wanda,
I think this is just what I needed. The plates really resonates with me. Some how I am always left with a pile of them?! I do have clown tendencies, but-
Happy Friday to you Wanda!!
Wanda says
Ella, keeping up those plates spinning can get tricky at times. Hope you have a wonderful weekend .

Do it all or die trying — somehow we were taught, either by words or example, that we should say yes to everything. It has taken me many years to rethink and relearn that we don’t need to help everyone fulfill everyone else’s projects and dreams. God gave us our own work to do. I still need reminded of that from time to time.
Thanks for hosting. ~Pamela

Oh Pam, it’s still something I trying to grasp. It’s rather easy to get lost in being a cheerleader to others and never get around to doing your own thing.

Hi Wanda! So glad our paths crossed! Thank you for mentioning my post in yours. God is teaching me much these days (doesn’t He always??), and I can’t help but share. Great links too. Thank you for sharing your heart through your writing. God bless you, new friend!

Always good to check out your picks for the week, Wanda. I was especially interested in Chris’s poem on depression. It is so hard to walk that path with a loved one.
Wanda says
Hi Pam, she does a good job of showing how it not only impacts the individual suffering with depression with other family members as well. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Wanda, each one was a wonderful read this morning! My only regret? I ran out of coffee 🙂 Blessings!!!
Wanda says
Oh no….not enough coffee! Oh your Saturday is a great one Joanne minus the missing coffee.

All very good topics to start the weekend, to start the Summer. I have found by reading so many blogs that when we are in our lowest state (thinking we are undeserving) that in speaking … in giving voice to pain … the glory of God’s purpose in our lives shines through. I never tire of hearing a testimony.

There are so many encouraging voices. Have a great week LaVonne!
