We are just one day away from the eve of Thanksgiving Day and you are probably busy planning, prepping, and putting all the finishing touches on your holiday plans. Sadly to say this chic still has not pinpointed my contribution to this year’s family gathering. Most likely my usual homemade rolls but I still need to check my recipe and make sure I have everything I need. I know I’m slow going. My plans were to do that on yesterday but the excruciating headache was back with a vengeance.
And before my day got all sidelined I wanted to make sure I stopped in to let you know you are on my THANKS lists. Yes you. We may never have the opportunity to gather and sit across the table from one another. But each time you open the door to your blog home and welcome me in and share your thoughts. I walk away feeling as I if I shared a few precious moments with a friend. And when you take time from your busy schedule and come and savor a few words with me, I’m encouraged and strengthen by your words of wisdom and insight that you share. Whether you have been here many times or only dotted these blog doors once, I give thanks for you!
For the many times you have made me laugh,
For all the times you filled my cup when it was empty,
For each time you opened my eyes to see things in a way I had never seen before,
For every way you have helped to water this soul of mine,
For all your words of encouragement
I say thanks to each of you my blogging friends!
What a gift you have been to me.
Happy Thanksgiving

You have expressed my own thoughts so well here, Wanda. You have been all those things to me and I am so thankful God brought us together. You are such a blessing to me, my friend. Happy Thanksgiving!

Sharon says
Dear Wanda, my good friend. Yes, one of the things that I am most grateful for is the blessing of friends – fellow believers who strengthen me, challenge me, inspire me, comfort me. Thanks for being that sort of friend to me…
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
GOD BLESS!
Wanda says
Thank you Sharon, You’ve certainly been all of that for me. Wishing you an enjoyable holiday season. Many blessings.

I’m thankful for your words of encouragement, Wanda. Apparently, the answer to my miracle request is “no.” The man I loved has started a relationship with someone else. He has not chosen to return to me, and the first thing he did was something we talked about doing ourselves. I am devastated.
What I need now is the one who won’t leave me. And that is what I’ve asked for.
Wanda says
Oh Elizabeth, I’m so sorry to hear that. You will certainly be in my thoughts and prayers. I know the feelings of disappointment and anger one can feel when things don’t turn out the way you expected. It may take away but I can say you will eventually come out on the other side of the devastation. I’ve been there. Sending you virtual hugs.

BTW, loving the new design!

Thank you Alison. I’m still tinkering with things. But I felt this season was the perfect time for splash of new blog paint. A few more things I want to do. Didn’t get a chance to comment yet but I read about your time at the conference. Sounds like you have a good time girl. And you got to meet Deidra 🙂
