Happy Friday friends! It’s time for a little link love. Below are five interesting posts, that convicted, called, or challenged me, I have read during the week (in no particular order).
1. One Thing We’re Waiting For ( And Why It’s Time to Stop) at Chatting at the Sky. About our desire to be picked and why we should pick ourselves. In the article she shares a powerful quote by Seth Godin:
“Once you understand that there are problems just waiting to be solved, once you realize that you have all the tools and all the permission you need, then opportunities to contribute abound. No one is going to pick you. Pick yourself.”-Seth Godin
2. 25 Point Manifesto for Sanity in 2013 by Ann Voskamp at (in)Courage and Ann offers a free printable at her blog A Holy Experience. {Offers keys for enduring throughout the year when the joy of something new fades}
3. Opposites Attract by Beth at My Destiny Sharing Hope. Beth shares how God has weaved two different people into one through marriage. I especially like the following quote and think it’s applicable to other relationships as well but might be magnified more in marriage.
I believe it is God’s desire to use our spouses to expose our weaknesses so that we can truly see our need for Him in our lives. – Beth
4. The ‘Resolutions’ of a Perfect Love at Illuminate. An interview with Brady Troops. I loved the 4 resolutions he shared in this interview. One being to do nothing based on the fear of rejection or running out of money.
5. Yes Lord! But… at Prayer Notes by Cynthia. Challenges you to examine why you really say yes to all the things and people you do. I think Cynthia’s post goes so well Brady’s resolutions.
What have you read this week that really spoke to you in some way?
Hi Wanda!
Thank you, for the link-up! I’m so excited and thankful! I’m visiting the other links this afternoon. Many blessings and happy Friday!
Oh you’re quite welcome Cynthia. Your post definitely challenged me. Have a great weekend.
These 5 sound so interesting…I cannot remember much but Max Lucado? devotions have spoke to me
I haven’t read a lot of his material but I know he’s a popular author.
Wanda, I’m doing a little catching up. And to answer your question, the one thing I read this week that really touched me was your post Even in the Empty Places. Your words, and that passage from Isaiah (sometimes The Message is such a perfect paraphrase), really reached deep into my heart. I’ve had some *empty* going on lately, and yet, God is there in all HIS fullness!
GOD BLESS!
Ahh, well thanks Sharon. That passage really spoke to me.
Did you mention, “Sanity?!” I’ll start with that one and work my way through the rest! Have a sane (peace-filled) weekend.
Lol…hope you’re weekend is peaceful too LaVonne.
I loved this post by Holley Gerth. It was just what I needed today. http://holleygerth.com/when-you-mess-it-up/
Thanks for the opportunity to share it with others, Wanda!
Oh I just love Holley’s writing. She has way speaking the very things I can’t seem to articulate. I’ll have to check this post out. I hadn’t read this one. Thanks for sharing Pam.
Five is my lucky number and I always feel like there is a special message, when you share like this!
<3 it Wanda 😀
Thank you, for all you do~
Thank you for sweet words & support.
Thank you Wanda for sharing some great resource to encourage, challenge and convict me. Downloaded the 25 word sanity manifesto and look forward to reading the rest. By the way…the quote from Beth…absolutely agree with that! Hope this coming week is a good one for you! Blessings in Christ…Susan
I just loved that sanity manifesto-great tips to hold onto for the year. Although I’m not married I can’t tell you how much a budding relationship has shown me areas I need to work and sent back to the feet of God.
