Saturday’s Selah: Grace

By Wanda

Today I am taking a moment to quietly reflect on grace. What does the word grace mean to you?

I have always thought of grace as God’s unmerited favor. Because of His love and compassion for us He sent His son to die on the cross. His grace paid a price that I could never afford.

So today on the eve of the celebration of Resurrection Sunday, I am thanking God for the gift of His.

I am not one of those who treats the grace of God as meaningless. For if we could be saved by keeping the law, then there was no need for Christ to die. Galatians 2:21

Wishing you & yours a Happy Easter.

May grace and peace be yours from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Galatians 1:3 NLT

Wanda, may you have a blessed Easter. God’s grace means to me that even when I see nothing that indicates that I am completely loved, completely whole and completely healed, I can STILL believe that I am complete and perfect in Him. His grace will always be to me a truly cherished gift.

I’ve often wondered about the difference between grace and mercy. Any thoughts, Wanda?

Good question Pam. I don’t know if I have a clear distinction between the two. I think of mercy being not getting the punishment one is deserving of and grace as unmerited favor or the ability to do certain things.

    Hi Wanda –

Indeed our Lord’s grace is sufficient – 2 Corinthians 12:9.

Thank you for reminding us about the importance of the grace of GOD.
