See I care about you, and I will pay attention to you. Your ground will be plowed and your crops planted. Ezekiel 36:9 (NLT)
Ever have those times when you feel invisible to God? You know He sees and knows all but you can’t find evidence of His oversight because of all the drama around you. The place of your dwelling displays defeat rather than victory.
Israel found themselves in such a situation in chapter 36 of Ezekiel. They had endured vicious attacks by their enemies from all directions, taunting and shame. But in the midst of their distress, God sent a word of hope. Their future wasn’t to be confined by their present condition. Fruitfulness was in their future.
Yes fruitfulness in spite of all the lost, shame, humiliation, and mockery they had endured. God still cared! And He still cares for us. Yes He’s paying attention to you. Expect to see the hard places broken up. Expect to see barren places full of life again.
And if I don’t make it back here before Thursday, I wish you & your family a very Happy Thanksgiving!
Until next time…
Linking up with the following this week:

Thank you, Wanda, I needed that. Things are looking quite desolate right now. I’m still praying for that miracle–and not forgetting to be thankful–but I guess it’s in a stage where I can’t see what is going on.
You have a wonderful holiday yourself. 🙂 If you’re traveling, be safe.
Wanda says
Thank you Elizabeth. Continue to stay in expectation my friend.

I think we all need to readjust our view. AS fall descends it gets harder to see the beauty, but you are right it is there 😀
Beautiful post~
Happy Thanksgiving to you n’ yours!
Wanda says
Thanks Ella. Yes, we all need to refocus. In every season of our lives beauty can be found.
LaVonne says
Hallelujah! Blessed is the name of the Lord Almighty. Thank you, Wanda. I am giving thanks for you and “The Watered Soul,” for you certainly water the little corners of my heart at all times. Yes, indeed, fruitfulness is coming. He is a rewarder of those who seek Him, and His reward is certain. Dwell in the blessings this Thanksgiving!
Wanda says
Aaah thank you so much LaVonne! I pray you dwell in blessings & peace as well.

Thank you so much. We are experiencing a very hard financial season right now. It’s hard to look up and see the fruitfulness of the Lord in this desolate space, but He’s always brought us through. It’s just hard while you are “going through it.” Happy Thanksgiving!
Wanda says
When walking through those barren places, some days are better than others but may we be faithful in readjusting our eyes on His faithfulness day by day or moment by moment as needed.

Such a good word, Wanda!! My pastureland feels a little dry and rocky lately. This was a very encouraging message.

I can’t tell you how MUCH this meant to me
…the tractor, the scripture, the words of life
about fruitfulness and promise and breaking ground
and in due time (my heart heard that)……such a word
in due season, friend.
thank you thank you thank you,
Jennifer
